MEET THE ARTIST
There’s something about Mike Dohm that lives somewhere between the back pew of a small-town church and a Central Texas dancehall. A steady kind of presence. The kind that doesn’t beg for attention — it just holds the room. Mike doesn’t just sing songs. He brings them to life. You can hear it in the way he leans into a lyric, the way he lets a line breathe. Country music, the way he sees it, should make you feel something, make you connect with something — not just fill the background.
Mike grew up in a military family full of love for God and country with loving parents that worked hard and held the line through life's challenges. They raised him to value hard work, faith and family values. Some of his earliest memories are of his dad strumming John Denver and Dan Fogelberg tunes while he and his brother played on the living room floor.
Mike has embraced that same love of music and has built his name around Texas playing stripped-down acoustic sets that blur the line between a show and a conversation. Mixing country standards with songs pulled straight from his own story, Mike writes about hard seasons, second chances, and the kind of faith and love that gets built when life doesn’t go as planned. No gimmicks. No smoke. Just songs that tell the truth.
His live shows aren’t about flash — they’re about connection. He can quiet a room with a ballad or turn it into a sing-along by the second chorus. Whether it’s a barstool in a honky-tonk or a songwriter round under stage lights, he settles in and makes it feel like home.
Recognition has come along the way — including a Texas Country Music Association selection for Best Country Picks, Volume 7 — and opportunities to share stages with regional touring artists. But the resume isn’t the point.
The point is the songs — and the way they cut through the noise and connect with the soul. Songs that stir excitement, restore hope, and remind you redemption is real. Mike writes music that's meant to light something in you — faith when it’s fading, hope when it’s thin, love when it’s needed most. Mike isn’t chasing trends; he’s chasing honesty. And when he sings, you believe him.
